Happy June, Spartans! This is Varnika, your Arts & Entertainment editor. There’s less than two weeks of school left, so make sure you enjoy these last days of the year. If you’re a senior, cherish the memories you’ve made and take the time to appreciate the people who’ve been with you during your four years as a Spartan. Summer has never been closer, so finish the year strong!
Our Arts & Entertainment writers bring you news of releases ranging from Good Omens 3 to the newest season of Interview with the Vampire. We also have our staple monthly features from Fiction Book Club and a fun crochet pattern!
Student Life has some exciting stories to cover. You can read about the election fraud in SYS, or the thrilling performances of VPM Drama’s latest production, Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind. We also have writers covering the beloved annual film fest, so there’s plenty of variety.
In News this month, read about the name change of Cesar Chavez elementary school amidst the scandal, as well as updates on the Hantavirus and yet another heist.
Finally, Opinions brings us to 2026’s last issue of far-fetched debates. Read about why prom flowers are stupid, the field of scientology, or the value of three-day weekends.
Thank you for making this a great year, Spartans! A huge thank you to our advisor, Mr. Leibforth, and our senior editors Henry, Nina, and Jamie for all the work they’ve put into this club over the year. If you want to be a part of this group of writers next year, we’ll be in rm. 1716 on Thursdays for our weekly meetings as always. You can also follow our social media for updates! I hope the rest of your year goes as smoothly as possible, and congratulations!
