Hi Spartans!
This is Henry Riley, one of your Co-Editor-in-Chiefs, and welcome to March! I would say to get excited about the warmer weather coming soon, but we’ve had school cancelled in April for snow before, so… we shall see!
Now, let’s get into this month’s issue. Starting off in Arts & Entertainment, we have a breakdown of the Super Bowl pre-game festivities, a review of Heated Rivalry, and your monthly book and crochet pattern features. In Student Life, check out our yearly musical review of Urinetown and a piece on Friday’s cupcake smackdown! In News, an update on the latest Epstein developments, as well as important info on the UW-Madison measles case. Sports this month will discuss the Olympic hockey rink in Milan, as well as Indycar racing. Finally, head over to Opinions for takes on NASA sucking, New York Times cooking being classist, and President Trump wasting his budget on home remodeling.
As always, if you’re interested in joining the Sword & Shield, we meet on Thursdays during lunch in room 1716. Our planning meeting for the April issue will be on March 5th. We hope to see you there, and thank you for reading!
