I sat down with 4-time NBA champion, 4-time MVP LeBron James to have a chat about his stellar 21-year career since joining the league back in ‘03. After reliving his greatest moments, plays, and comebacks of the century, I asked LeBron what his biggest challenge was in his over two decades of playing, and the answer surprised me.

As a man that puts work on and off the court, LeBron noted his greatest accomplishment off the court was none other than reading the second page of his books. You read it correctly: LeBron James read the second page of his book. After over a decade of memes dedicated to his ongoing chronic struggles and tremors from turning past the first page, LeBron was able to overcome this physical challenge and read the second page.

LeBron highlighted that his new transition from the first page was “excruciating” because the first step “or rather the first page is always the most difficult to finish”. He noted that he didn’t know where or how he mustered up the mental power to go beyond his limits and venture into the second page of the biography of Malcolm X, explaining he is now able to “see the book from a different perspective” and analyze the extraordinary depth of such work.

LeBron’s ultimate feat is yet to be accomplished though. He shared plans to mentally and physically prepare to flip to the fourth page of the book, something he believes near and dear he can accomplish by the end of this year.
