Hi, I’m Max Knight, one of the editors in chief on Sword and Shield for the 2024-2025 school year! Welcome to all of our first time readers in the class of 2028, and welcome back all Sophomores and Upperclassmen! Getting back into the rhythm of school can be tough at first, remember to get organized and take full advantage of your resources here at VPM in order to start off your school year strong!

We’re getting back into the swing of it too here at Sword and Shield, with a new advisor, new editors, and new ideas for how to make the paper great for this school year! Over in Arts & Entertainment, we’ve got articles about all of the biggest movies and music from over the summer, while in Sports we’ve got a recap from all of the biggest moments from the Paris Olympics, as well as some updates about sports here at VPM. We have articles covering the upcoming election in News, both how to vote and all of the crazy events that have occurred surrounding it over the summer, while Opinions is here to deliver thoughtful pieces about the dogs and why we maybe should have the moon landing as a holiday.
