Ladies and gentlemen, it’s officially Fall season. This means it’s time for sweaters and hoodies, hot chocolate and coffee, and… school. Yes, school starts at one of the most aesthetic times of the year, but there’s a way to combat it, in a comfy but productive way.
- Sweats. As much as we all love jeans, sweatpants, and a hoodie just wear them when it gets cooler. To be fair, a pair of jeans and a crewneck is a classic look, comfy but still looks put together. Sweatpants as a whole are obviously very comfortable, and with school being en route now, staying comfortable in all the chaos is exactly what I think we ALL need.
- Drinks. This is such a must when it comes to the whole “fall aesthetic” but I think that any type of warm (or iced honestly) drink like hot chocolate, coffee, or pumpkin spiced lattes, is just so essential when it comes to relaxation in the Fall mood. Some of my favorites include a (either iced or hot, depending on the mood) Pumpkin Spiced Latte from Starbucks. Hot Chocolate from Starbucks is also great, and definitely go support small business coffee shops, they have great coffee grounds and cocoa powder, and even more you are supporting a local owner!
- Walks. While the weather is still a little on the warmer side, put in some earbuds or headphones and go for a walk. As much as I love getting a good sweat in, calm, collected walks are so relaxing after a long day, whether it be from work or school, or just needing a break from the world. Especially since all the leaves will be changing soon and the ground will become a gorgeous artistic landscape of oranges and browns, definitely be sure to get your exercise (and alone time) in this season.
- Food. Ladies, (and boys) we have to stop putting calories before comfort. We need to enjoy what we intake, rather than feel guilty about the count. I love food, and I know a lot of us do, so in the new season, let’s make it a goal to not hold back when it comes to enjoying ourselves. Make sure that you get out, stretch your legs, and get your heart rate up every day for an hour, exercise and eat healthy, but happy. Drinking water is also a great way to not only hydrate (obviously) but to flush out bad toxins in your body and nourish it. Eat what you want in moderation, and the rest will follow.
