The Diary of Alicia Keys 20 is set to be released on December 1, 2023, the 20th anniversary of the release of The Diary of Alicia Keys, Keys’ second studio album which came out on December 2, 2003.
This previous album topped the US Billboard 200 chart upon its release, earning 3 Grammys in the 47th Grammy Awards and selling over 8 million copies worldwide. Keys worked on it with a palette of producers, including Kanye West who co-wrote “You Don’t Know My Name” and Timbaland, who helped produce the song “Heartburn”. Most of the album was recorded in New York City but parts of it were also worked on internationally, in Paris, London, and Amsterdam.
The new album will contain all of the original album’s tracks, as well as nine additional songs. Keys will perform a once-in-a-lifetime anniversary concert on the day of the release, and a part of the proceeds will be donated to Keep a Child Alive. Additionally, four new music videos for her songs will be released.
