As you may have noticed, at least I hope you would have noticed…Our school has been undergoing construction! This construction can be frustrating but it is very exciting because it means newer and nicer classrooms, a cafeteria, and much more. Our construction is working on making a pod where the courtyard used to be and it has renovated many classrooms. We are very lucky to have gotten the opportunity to have this construction. However, even though this construction is going to bring many great things, while it is being worked on, there are a few changes.
According to Mr. Radloff, “Because of construction on the stadium, we lose access to about 30 more parking spots this fall. Seniors will still have an opportunity to get a permit at the start of the school year. Juniors who want a parking pass will be able to enter a lottery, but fewer spots will be available to them than last year’s Juniors. Sophomores will not be able to be a part of the lottery. We ask that students who do not have a parking permit find the best street parking for their situation and not try to park in the lot. Students who are ticketed this year may lose their opportunity to purchase a permit next year. We encourage carpooling, walking, and riding bikes as much as possible not just because of parking, but because it is better for the environment.”
Please make sure to find street parking or another way to get to the school that doesn’t require you to park in the lot without a pass. With construction, we have also had some changes to our room numbers. The old 600 rooms are now the 2100 and 2200. The old 800 rooms are now the 1200 rooms. These changes may cause a short inconvenience but the benefits are going to be great! Get excited Spartans!
