Formula One has been heating up over the past couple of weeks, with the first quarter of competition almost over! Oscar Piastri leads the world championship, which is something that not many anticipated from the unproven Australian. Lando Norris won another race this season at Monaco, and Max Verstappen has had an interesting season of overperforming in an underperforming car. Additionally, Williams has surprised many and is breaking away from the bottom half of the teams, almost catching Ferrari in the Constructors’ Championship. This has created a very interesting season to watch, even if there aren’t as many overtakes as one would like. This is due to the cars being extra wide this year in an attempt to gain more downforce and go faster, but it has resulted in less overtaking conditions. The rest of the season, however, is anyone’s game, even though McClaren looks dominant and has the most points. I believe every team has the opportunity to do well this year with fast cars all around.
