The NFL season is halfway over, and many teams are either grappling with their new realities or celebrating jobs well done. So far, the Lions, Vikings, Chiefs, and Ravens look like the teams to beat, running up high-scoring games and putting up solid records. At the same time, others, such as the Jaguars, Seahawks, and Titans, have struggled to find success.
For many teams, Week 9 was a turning point in their season. A win would mean hope for the future, while a loss would mean looking ahead to 2025 and preparing for big changes. Some of the more notable games included the Denver Broncos vs. the Baltimore Ravens. Both teams had 5-3 records, and the Ravens handily beat the Broncos—a much-needed win to show strength after losing to the Browns the week before. The Packers and the Lions also played, with 6-2 and 6-1 records, respectively. It was a major turning point for the Lions, as beating the Packers now sets them up as NFC champions—provided they can beat a healthy San Francisco team. Finally, in Week 9, the Vikings (5-2) took on the Colts (4-4). The Vikings won and showed the rest of the league they are still contenders, bouncing back from a Week 8 loss to the Lions.
Finally, there are the Chiefs, who remain undefeated at 8-0 after beating the Buccaneers. Whether any team can dethrone them will be crucial in preventing another Super Bowl win. However, this seems unlikely, with their toughest remaining game being against the Bills (7-2), who have shown signs of struggling against higher-caliber teams.
Whatever the case, we’ll follow the action and keep you updated, Spartans, on what is shaping up to be a contentious NFL season.
