January Editor’s Note: Hello Second Semester!

Hello everyone! 

We’re Ava and Jonathan, your Sword & Shield News Editors for the 2022-2023 school year! Spartans, we’ve done it. We’re officially halfway through the school year. We hope you came back refreshed from winter break, had a successful bridge week, and are proud of your successes from the first semester. This new semester will bring a fresh start, new opportunities, and finally: an open upstairs hallway. Walking straight from science to history with no twists and turns sure is nice!

Whether you’re excited for a fresh slate in this new semester, or dreading upcoming tests this spring, Sword and Shield has got your back with amazing articles posted regularly. This January, we’ve got a wide range of stories from Chelsea’s Problems, Xavi’s First Trophy, Bring Me United soccer update in sports to an opinion about AI in GPT-3: A Chatbot Unleashed (and of course all of our news articles) kicking off the new year. Make sure to check in every once in a while; there’s always something new to read about our world or school, whatever your interests may be! Let’s make this a great start to the second semester!
