Senior photos for the Olympian 2023 are due NOVEMBER 4, 2022. 

The photograph should be a vertical head and shoulder shot. The image should be sent to [email protected] as a high resolution digital image, at least 2”X3” at 300 dpi or higher. Files can be JPG, PNG, TIFF or PDF. Images sent too small can not be printed.

YEARBOOK PICTURES & IDs:

Students can come into Jefferson Middle School on August 15 (11-6 pm) and August 17 (7:30-1:00 pm) to get their picture and ID picture taken by Lifetouch. Students who do not get an ID photo taken may not be included in the yearbook. Please keep in mind the MMSD dress code when getting the pictures taken. The Olympian reserves the right to refuse publication of any image that does not meet MMSD dress code policies. If a photo is not supplied by November 8, the student’s ID photo may be used.

Please be aware that most senior photos are taken by student photographers, family members and are taken with phones. Please do not spend large amounts of money for professional photos just for a yearbook photo. Please contact Teri Parris Ford if you have questions or need any help with getting a senior photo done. We hope to have all portrait pages on display outside the Rock office before they are sent to print in December. Please have your student check their email to know when to look. These pages are sent to the company for print in late December or January so no changes can be made after winter break.

Photos should be emailed to [email protected] but you will not receive a confirmation until after October 15, once the yearbook staff begins to download images and work on pages. If a photo is not emailed to the yearbook staff, your Lifetouch photo from registration may be used. If no photo is available, students will be listed as not pictured.

Senior Tributes

Senior Tributes are due December 16, 2022. Anyone can recognize senior students in the yearbook with a tribute. Group or team tributes are welcome. More information can be found HERE.

How to buy a yearbook?

The best time to purchase a yearbook is at registration when you are paying for other fees, but you can do so through January 7th in the fees area on Infinite Campus. They will be sold at the end of the year for $50 in limited numbers. Please make sure you pre-order your book if you are sure that you would like one. Our staff is committed to covering all student happenings, organizations and activities. We appreciate your continued interest and support. After January 7, preorders will no longer be available. Sales will be first come first serve once books arrive in May/June and are not guaranteed. Note; we ran out of books in 2022, so you won’t want to miss out in 2023.
