I’m so desperate for everyone to stop using AI that I’m suggesting watching reality TV. Over the past few weeks, you’ve probably seen episodes or debriefings of \u201cAI fruit love island”, or you may be lucky and have no idea what I am talking about. There are multiple TikTok accounts posting episodes of AI-generated slop featuring inappropriate-looking fruit getting busy. The creators of these accounts most likely use multiple generative AI platforms; character images are likely animated using Higgsfield\u00a0 and ChatGPT for scripts and prompts. <\/span><\/p>\n

AI servers like these use Data centers that consume a large amount of energy and leave a high carbon footprint. I’m truly appalled at how ignorant this generation remains, watching adults or teenagers rave about or invest their time in watching something so soulless and uncanny. I have no idea what’s appealing about sexualized fruits fighting and making out with each other. I’ve indulged many times in trash reality TV, but an AI-generated \u201cseries\u201d has none of the redeeming qualities real trash TV has. For example, the real Love Island employs probably a few hundred people to build the set, edit, produce, and work on the crew. <\/span>AI fruit love island is one person with a laptop and too much screen time.<\/span><\/p>\n

I never thought I’d write something begging people to watch reality TV, but here we are. Another con of AI episodes in comparison to real TV is that episodes like this are much more accessible to children, as they are on TikTok and YouTube. A single glance at the visuals of these episodes could be passed off as a children’s animation, although more than a second glance is plenty enough to notice the unnatural bodies of the fruits. Although that’s something directly taken from the real Love Island, and I mean, how awful must something be for the better option to be Love Island? <\/span><\/p>\n

Why, I ask. Why is our generation so determined to melt our brains and desensitize ourselves until there’s nothing left of our brains? The entire concept of parodying reality TV with AI is a good representation of how AI works, putting in something real and making copy after copy after copy until you’re left with something disturbing and confusing.<\/span><\/p>\n

AI servers have access to the internet and any image previously uploaded to it, meaning it pulls elements from other images to create new ones. AI Fruit Love Island is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to my concerns for modern AI use. According to the National<\/a><\/span> Literacy Institute,<\/a>\u00a0 54% of us adults cannot read above a sixth-grade level.<\/p>\n

With how advanced and accessible AI has become, I only see these numbers getting worse and worse. How are people supposed to learn how to write an essay when ChatGPT can? How are we supposed to want to read when ChatGPT can summarize the book in ten bullet points? I’m not trying to yuckk anyone’s yum except, oh, wait. I am If AI Fruit Love Island is your yum, you need to find a better one. Anything else, please, any other yum.<\/p>\n

I know I keep getting off topic, but another complaint of mine for AI is the chatbots. I don’t think there’s anything more terrifying than people resorting to generative AI for comfort or affection, another thing that’s affecting us grossly as a human race. There have been multiple stories in the past few years that characterize now has existed of children getting hurt or hurting themselves due to dependence on AI. I don’t blame them; I blame the society that has forced them into seeking solace from a robot and the creators of these AI chat apps. To conclude this tangent, AI Fruit Love Island is cringe. Stop.
