There were elections in New York City, in Virginia, and in New Jersey. However, many states held no elections.<\/p>\n<p>One of those states was Kentucky. Across Kentucky, voters went to the polls, only to find them closed. Due to an amendment to the state constitution, Kentucky takes an off year from elections every four years, and had no elections in 2025. The Kentucky Secretary of State, Michael Adams, expressed his frustration with the voters not being aware of the break, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/KYSecState\/status\/1985748719825010758\">posting on X<\/a>, \u201cHave I mentioned my repeated call for civic education\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Adams also posted on X earlier in the day after his office had received calls about polls being closed. He wrote, \u201c[Polls] are closed because we do not have elections today. Kentucky votes next year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many states voted on the fourth, like California and New York.
