There are two rounds of grants, with one in the fall semester and another in the spring. Each semester, the club meets to vote on grant applications, dividing the funds among applicants as they decide together. In the past, SSF has bought washing machines for the Life Skills classroom, helped purchase graphing calculators for math students to borrow, and funded supplies for clubs like Sewing and Craft Club.

Outside of grants, SSF is responsible for one of VPM’s most memorable fundraisers: the annual boba fundraiser with Le C’s. This event allows members to become a bobarista for a day, making delicious drinks for students to enjoy in class. It also organizes the homecoming Kall for Kleenex contest, where grades compete to donate as many tissue boxes as they can, with results being announced at the pep rally. This year, SSF also funded hygiene products and supplies for a food pantry, which students can access in Student Services.

If you’re interested in giving back to our school community, join SSF at their next meeting on Mondays at lunch in room 2222!

Everyone at VPM can appreciate our annual bubble tea fundraiser, tissue boxes in classrooms when flu season comes around, graphing calculators available to borrow, and buses to travel to elementary schools for Spirit Day.
