I\u2019m Amalia Weix, one of the Co-Editors-in-Chief, here to welcome you to the month of October. Now that we\u2019re through the growing pains of the first month, I hope everyone\u2019s finished adjusting and are ready to tackle the rest of the school year.<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve got a great crop of articles this month, with Arts & Entertainment bringing you the latest in music and video game news, as well as a review of <\/span>the Conjuring: Last Rites<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking to join a new club, be sure to check out one of the club spotlights over in Student Life! They also have the latest on Homecoming, and info on registering for AP exams\u2014the deadline is coming up soon!<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a busy month for News, with Trump\u2019s ongoing health issues, new developments in vaccine policy, attacks on birth control, and the Charlie Kirk assassination capturing headlines across the nation. We also have some stories a little closer to home, like the surge in school phone policies, as well as reports on the controversial cuts to the West swim team and the recent gun incident at La Follette.<\/span><\/p>\n

Right now, Sports is all about football and the kickoff of the NFL season. There\u2019s also a great breakdown on the symbolism behind the Dutch Grand Prix cups.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, Opinions is sporting some heavy hitters this month, with expos\u00e9s on MMSD\u2019s weighted G.P.A. decision as well as the danger of chiropractors. We\u2019ve also got discussions about the new logos, Switch 2, and climate change.<\/span><\/p>\n
